The 2012 Forum is creating a unique space to refine and direct new and unforeseen ideas, experiences and collaborations. The Forum will be held at OfficePort, StagePort and Screenland on Thursday and Friday, April 5th and 6th from 8AM-6PM.
This reception will honor the past leadership of the UMKC Women's Center. Meet former Women's Center directors, staff, and Advisory Board members while you view the exhibit Vanguards and Visionaries which feature local women artists who helped shape the visual arts of Kansas City over the past four decades.

Shaul Jolles loves Kansas City. And it shows. . . He knew where he wanted to be: the Crossroads Art District near downtown Kansas City, Mo. The Crossroads is well-known within the Kansas City area as a unique corner of downtown full of boutiques, local restaurants and most of all, a plethora of art galleries. But less than a decade ago, it wasn't nearly as polished as it is today.
Resolutions, is a new show of works by local artist Rachel Brown. The show will continue through First Friday February 3, 2012 at 6PM. "At the start of January, it is human nature to begin to think about what the upcoming New Year will bring. All of the paintings in this series represent a clean start. An old life that is left behind for something even better. I hope and pray that these paintings will inspire and encourage you on your beautiful, though sometimes messy, life journey."
