Beginning at 6PM the same evening the City Council Committee on Small Business will be fielding questions from the audience. The Committee is chaired by Councilman Scott Taylor, 6^th District at-Large, Councilman Scott Wagner, 1^st District at-Large, Councilman Jermaine Reed, 3^rd District, and Mayor Pro Tem Cindy Circo, 5^th District at-Large.

Kacico Song & Dance Project

The Song and Dance Project continues Kacico’s tradition of interdisciplinary collaborations offering opportunities to talented performance artists in the greater KC area.   This intimate collaboration of music and dance plays an important role in presenting contemporary dance to new audiences. The concert is free to the public and supported by the Missouri Arts Council, Muriel McBrien Kauffman and Francis Family Foundation, ArtsKC, and other private donors.

Similar events have been held in recent years across the country, raising upwards of $500,000 for charity. This most recent marathon has a goal of $3,000 and will stop accepting donations February 3. There will be 3 local players plugged in for a total of 24 hours, during which up to 24 1-hour games will be played. EventPort will be open to the public until 9PM and reopen the following day at Noon for final game play. Live streaming is also available along with the opportunity to donate via their website. Sarah Shipley of B-cycle and BikeWalkKC dominated Missouri Bank’s annual Rock, Paper, Scissors Throwdown  this past First Friday in the Crossroads. Sarah faced off fierce competitors such as Bazillion, Sporting KC, Yelp, and more! Gladiators, Knights, and even a few Furries could be seen battling it out in one of the most heated competitions in the Crossroads during October First Friday.

While Sarah did not take home the grand prize she did do her fellow OfficePorters proud by making it to the semi finals where she eventually lost out to Bazillion. Great job Sarah and way to stick it to Blue, that peculiarly large dog dressed in a tracksuit.
